Silver, Gold, Platinum-Good, Better, Best

Platinum and Gold
Wedding Band
What’s the difference? Is it only money? White metal is still very popular for engaged couples in both the diamond engagement ring mounting and the wedding bands. Many couples don’t know the difference. Although silver is great for fashion jewelry, not a good metal to use for the rings you plan to wear for the rest of your life. There is a difference in gold and platinum. Platinum though the most expensive metal is the purest form of white metal, you will want to have it polished periodically if you like the high polished look, but it will retain its color and you can’t beat the feel of platinum. Gold is naturally yellow gold, it is the alloy that is added to make it 14kt (58% gold) and 18kt (75% gold), the alloy mixture used determines whether it will be white gold or yellow gold. The use of 18kt gold is always great, but platinum is in fact the best! Remember you plan on wearing the ring the rest of your life, this is the one thing in your wedding you should splurge on.  Better yet, why not have both!
